Science Question:
Our question is, do gullies in craters show evidence of liquid water on Mars?
Main Results:
1) An additional piece of information that the majority of the class feels we need is the width of the gully. This measurement would be difficult to obtain, but we feel that it would be helpful to determine how much water flowed in the gully when it was forming. We think the wider the gully the more water flowed.

2) The slope of the crater could also make a difference in the speed that water would flow depending on how steep the slope.

3) Additional information we would like to obtain is pictures of water gullies on Earth to compare to water gullies on Mars. Sometimes it was difficult to really decide if the gullies were formed by landslides or water and by comparing the gullies on Earth with the gullies on Mars we might be able to determine how the gully was created easier.

Tuesday's Final Report

Extra Comments:
1) I was amazed at how hard it was to come up with a question for the proposal.

2) Working with the scientists and teachers at ASU was very exciting. When we were at ASU they treated us like real scientists.
