Science Question:
Did liquid water ever exist in the northern rim of Valles Marineris? Is there any weathering or erosion to hint to this?
Main Results:
1) There is a great deal of evidence for water existing in the walls of Vallis.

2) The bottom of Valles is flat, indicating that water could have been there.

3) The features in Valles, very closely resemble what we find in Earth’s canyons.

Extra Comments:
1) I learned so much about Mars just studying a small area.

2) This project was a great opportunity. I had a great time working on the pictures we took.

3) Studying and measuring really helped me to understand the many features on Mars’ surface.
