Science Question:
What unique terrain patterns exist near the South polar cap due to sublimation and deposition?
Main Results:
Our Mars Team’s hypothesis is that formations are caused by an uneven sublimation of ice caps. The new data we collected both supports and refutes our hypothesis. It supports it because of the Swiss Cheese terrain, and refutes because the polar layered deposits (water ice) and this supports Dalmatian spots.
